Responsible Welding Coordinator EN 1090 EXC 2 Course

BS EN 1090 stipulates that manufacturers shall have a nominated Responsible Welding Coordinator with the correct level of knowledge to execute their duties.

Our RWC (Responsible Welding Coordinator) course is designed to prepare employees who wish to act as RWC for their company up to execution class 2 of EN 1090. Delivered by an International Welding Engineer who is currently working as RWC at Comprehensive Level our course gives working exercises to ensure employees will have the knowledge to be able to efficiently carry out their duties as RWC.

The course is delivered over 3 days at training centers around the UK.

The course content covers the following modules:

  • Requirements of EN 1090 and CE/UKCA marking
  • ISO 3834 Quality requirements for fusion welding
  • ISO 14731 - Welding coordination tasks and responsibilities
  • Elementary-level metallurgy
  • Welding and allied processes plant and equipment
  • Welding Design

The course is followed by a multi-choice exam and a technical interview.

A certificate and transcript of learning are issued upon successful completion.
